A greenhouse (also called a glasshouse, or, if with sufficient heating, a hothouse) is a structure with walls and roof made chiefly of transparent material, such as glass, in which plants requiring regulated climatic conditions are grown. Being a fan of the much loved, plant-filled Instagram feed of Haarkon, I was excited to see the launch of their first book - Glasshouse Greenhouse. The book is a useful reference for anyone interested in appraising the survival of walled kitchen gardens and glasshouses in their own area. An earlier Shire book on walled gardens by Susan Campbell is an excellent companion reference/5(6).
